Andrew Drummond: Listening & Viewing Device
Dimensions:H 6m x D 4m
Sculptor:Andrew Drummond
Location:Druid Hill,
Botanic Gardens
Materials:Wound Copper Piping, Slate
Date of installation: 1993

"I call it what it is, a device, so I'm not mystifying it at all. It's a device for viewing and listening. You can grab hold of it, you can get inside it and look up it, you can move it round. I'm interested in all these relationships.

"I really like looking at it when it is windy as anything, because it swings round in there, and it looks like it wants to jump out. It's gyroscopic. It has a topsy turvy feeling."
